Application of aluminum hydroxide flame retardant:

ATH is used in a wide variety of applications, not only for flame retardation, but also for smoke suppression and reduction of the production of corrosive gases in materials; Not only can be used alone, but also with other flame retardants. For processing temperature below ATH decomposition temperature (190 ~ 230 ℃) of the polymer, ATH is a kind of excellent flame retardant material, used in, thermosetting resins and thermoplastic elastomer and so on, also used in the production of various flame retarding carpet of styrene – butadiene rubber latex, used in the production of flame retardant rubber cable insulation, thermal insulation foam, transmission belt, roof canopy and hose.Used for bathroom appliances, decorative walls, various covers, car shields, seat accessories, truck parts, as well as electronic components including insulators and circuit boards, construction equipment, etc.Nano-aluminum hydroxide can also be used in engineering plastics (aerospace materials, military ships, etc.).

Currently, ATH is commonly used as a filler flame retardant for flame retardant EVA, LDPE, LLDPE cable materials (cladding and insulation), as well as for flame retardant PP and many thermosetting polymers (such as unsaturated polyester, epoxy resin, etc.).When adding 40% of ATH, the thermal decomposition temperature of PE, PP, PVC and ABS (acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene copolymer) can be significantly slowed down, with good flame retardant and smoke suppression effect.Polyolefin with 50% aluminum hydroxide is mainly used in food packaging materials in Japan, and flame retardant polyolefin with 60% aluminum hydroxide can be used as building materials and interior decoration materials of automobiles and ships.
